The work involved will be across all major cities in Australia with a work beginning
Sunday to Thursday 8pm start. The field technician will work with well-known
retailers to help with the infrastructure installation rollout programs across the state.
Necessary training and induction will be provided as part of the onboarding process.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Installation, removal, and relocation of POS Terminals
• Complete software configurations using the software build protocols
• Consistently maintain site cleanliness at each service opportunity
• Recording all works in digital format of installs and any issues encountered
are reported
• Remove and install pin pads and cables
• Hand scanner installation
• Technical sign off of system hardware
• Performs any needed modular swaps and unit replacements
• Parts management and organization
Advantageous skills & abilities:
• Technically / vocationally qualified with at least two years relevant experience
• PC hardware and software repair experience
• Previous experience with POS and checkout repair is ideal but not essential
• Computer Network experience and understanding
• Strong hardware repair and support experience
• Sound mechanical ability

• A passion for technology
• Willing to travel throughout the state as well and travel interstate when
required (expenses will be covered according to our expense policy)
• Able to work in a team environment
• Reliable and punctual
• High level of computer literacy (Including all MS applications)
• High attention to detail
• Able to work night shifts (activities to occur between Sunday to Thursday
nights)

SERVICES DESCRIPTION
The following Services will be required to complete the TACO (Trolley Assisted
Checkout)
installation rollout at nominated stores after store closure:
• Installation Services where Contractor will install TACO and ACO units along
with in scope peripherals;
• Relocation of existing ACO units into the TACO space and within the existing
ACO pen;
• De-installation of nominated ACO units; and
• Upgrade kit installation onsite,
in accordance with the Project Scope Schedule
ONSITE PROJECT SCOPE SCHEDULE
In providing the Services to CLX, Contractor is to follow the Project Scope Schedule as
outlined below:
ACO Installation Services:
• De-installation of nominated ACOs;
o Remove the following items from de-installed ACOs;
§ Merchandise unit for re-use on new ACO (if applicable);
§ COVID security screens;
• Level and fix new TACO and ACO units to floor (if required to provide
stabilization of the unit);
• Connect the TACO and ACO to power and data points (as supplied by Coles);
• Complete software configurations to TACO and ACO units using agreed software
build procedures;
• Technical signoff of store TACO and ACO system hardware;
• Complete site documentation and obtain store signoff;
• Capture serial and model numbers of installed TACO and ACO including
nominated peripherals;
• Take digital photos of each installation and in particular any issues encountered
and upload to agreed platform the morning following installation; and
• Move the de-installed ACOs to the rear area of store for collection by NCR’s
third-party freight provider.
R6 Upgrade:
• Remove e-box, screen, scanner and tri-light (non-hockey sticks) – these will
be collected by NCR’s third-party freight provider for disposal on the next day;
• Install R6 upgrade kit;
o Service to include tri-light removal (shroud) and tri-light install
(hockey stick) where units have older tri-light, Pin Pad removal and
installation (including new cables),
and decal install for tri-light (Coles
supplied);
o Pin pad, cables, and decals to be provided by Coles;
o R5 FF will also have a Coles supplied door covering installed. Assuming
same effort as staging door covering; and
o Printer and UPS are required to be installed.
Administrative Tasks
• Resources to sign-in and out at store;
• Team Lead to upload the necessary sign-off and digital photos the morning of
installation to an online platform (i.e. QuickBase);
• Signoff and digital photos are to be provided to NCR in a consistent format
across each state for the duration of the program;
• Status updates to be provided by technician during installation at times
nominated by NCR via email;
• Summary status update to be provided on morning after install by vendor in
format requested by NCR. Should contractor be at fault for issues then
contractor will rectify at their expense.
• Daily status updates via phone call if requested from NCR; and
• Technician Requirements
• Customer Induction Card;
• Australian White Card;
• V5 and R6 ACO experience;
• Standard ACO toolkit; and
• Compliance with Australian COVID Vaccine Guidelines.
Additional Activities Onsite
Scope per site will differ between sites. An overview of additional activities that can be
anticipated are as below:
• Security kit Installation;
• Remove ACO bagwell and input shelves;
• Card only mould installation;
• Lock installation onsite;
• Hand scanner installation onsite;
• Convert ACO bagwell (excludes CFS);
• Installation of bag rack;
• Pinpad removal and installation;
• Removal of V5 tri-lights;
• Installation of R6 tri-lights;
• XR7 or E-Box swap;
• Re-build ACO;
• Bolt down ACO;
• Tri-light decal fitting per store; and
• CFS installation/orientation swap.
Deliverables
• All lanes operational in store as per work package;
• Completed store operational and technical sign-off;
• Photos as per Coles photo standards; and
• No defects as per agreed work scope and in accordance with Acceptance criteria
