The Chance

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial finance professional to join a large, well-known and profitable retail business. Culturally, the business is considered an employer of choice due to its great internal culture and exceptional training and development. The business is looking for a talented finance professional with a skill-set that combines financial modelling, revenue and cost analysis and commercial business support.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will take a proactive role in identifying new opportunities to improve revenue or reduce costs, assessing project financial outcomes and benchmarking operational performance.

Specifically your responsibilities will include:

- Identifying and developing key commercial business improvement initiatives




- Financial analysis and evaluation of project-based investment opportunities on emerging innovation and corporate development opportunities
- Analyse key business drivers to develop commercial insights that enable the business to deliver improved performance
- Preparation of business cases and associated financial assessments
- Planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Work with senior leadership to assess performance against strategic goals
- Assist with ad-hoc business reporting to drive decision making

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

- You are CA / CPA qualified and 7-8 years of post qualification experience in industry, ideally in a large corporate
- You possess extensive experience in finance business partnering with other operating divisions in a business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present to Senior Executives both finance and non-finance stakeholders effectively
- Experience of partnering with a fulfilment division will be looked upon very favourably
