The Portfolio Manager, Workforce Programs Will Work Within The Workforce, Innovation And Culture Stream To Oversee Important Programs Of Work Designed To Leverage The Expertise In UoA And UNSW To Support Industry R&D; Activities, Upskill The Defence Industry Workforce Of Today And Shape The Workforce Of Tomorrow
- Staff mobility program.
- Industry Higher Degree Research program.
- Workforce upskilling including cyber security upskilling and assurance programs.
- Vocational Education and Training pathways.
- Student and alumni engagement programs including Work Integrated Learning.
The successful candidate will be well versed in collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders remotely and in person. This role calls for a strategic and proactive individual who also has the confidence to take initiative and work independently at high level.

Who You Are
- Substantial experience managing multiple complex programs including program planning, goal setting, budgeting, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience working in industry and/or with industry partners.
- Highly developed networking, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide solutions to solve complex problems.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities involving diverse interest groups/stakeholders, while exercising tact and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of university staff, students and other stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge and experience in the higher education, Defence and/or defence industry sectors is desirable.
