Our Corporate team are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team based in our Rhodes 2138 office. Reporting to the Finance Manager (Investments), the Senior Accountant will support the Investment business across its Retail and Commercial asset portfolios. The role partners with the Asset Managers and Property Managers to deliver financial results, month-end activities, management reporting, and forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

- Delivering month-end tasks including statutory expenses, capitalising and amortising rent incentives, ensuring accuracy of retail centre expense recoveries and operational asset P&L;, etc
- Reviewing weekly and monthly rent rolls and ensuring all charges are invoiced to tenants
- Assisting PM’s to maintain tenancy schedules, and annual property budgets and forecasts
- Ensuring Tenant Insurances and Bank Guarantees are recorded
- Assisting with annual outgoings
- Supporting the FM with delivering business unit budgets and forecasts
- Maintaining capex and lease registers
- Assisting clearing tax and external auditor queries with supporting documentation
- Assisting Corporate with reporting requirements
- Identifying and streamlining financial process improvements

Requirements





As the ideal applicant you will possess:

- A Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
- Qualified in - or currently undertaking - CA or CPA qualifications
- Experience in accounting or finance in managing Retail assets
- Strong skills in Excel; systems experience with SAP/MRI is advantageous
- Well developed written and verbal communications skills
- Adept at prioritising, managing time, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to explain financial information to non-accounting professionals
