Why Your Role Matters:

The Senior Educational Data Analyst plays a critical role within the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience portfolio, Education Pillar, Educational Insights & Engagement theme, in the Educational Insights team.

The role involves utilising analytics and data visualisation techniques using data from a range of sources to support decision-making and enable improved student experience. The Senior Education Data Analyst combines analytical and statistical knowledge with technical skills to deliver actionable insights to support the goals of the Education and Student Experience Strategy.

Who You Are:





- A relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field or an equivalent level of knowledge and experience gained through a combination of education and training.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to coordinate project activities of high-profile educational technology projects, effectively manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines; ability to work autonomously and contribute to the team.
- Proven technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. An understanding of database structures and SQL, ETL and data ingestion.
- Experience in delivering actionable recommendations using analytics and forecasting applications (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, SQL, Oracle EPM).
- Fluency in Python, R and SQL and familiarity with PowerBI are essential. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.).
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud environment is a solid plus.
- Strong service orientation and client focussed together with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive and professional relationships with staff at all levels as well as internal and external stakeholders to influence successful outcomes.
- High-level problem-solving skills and ability to exercise initiative and autonomy in interacting with and critically evaluating new and emerging e-learning technologies.to enhance services and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean code (adhering to common coding best practices).
- Advanced level of IT skills,



using various e-Learning applications; including exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform, general Web Development stack (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Demonstrated capacity for effective project and resource management and experience in participating/ contributing to e-learning projects and initiatives.
