Overview:

A Hydraulic & Industrial Sales Person Mildura is responsible for promoting and selling hydraulic & industrial components to businesses and individuals in various industries. They are expected to demonstrate technical expertise, provide expert advice and build relationships with customers, to identify their needs and offer the best solution. The role includes some travel and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with customers.

Promote and sell hydraulic & industrial components including but not limited to pumps, valves, fittings and wine hoses.

Identify customer needs and advise the best solutions accordingly.

Work with the team to ensure specifications are met.

Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and training to increase knowledge of new and existing products when required.

Prepare and deliver sales proposals to customers.

Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, such as number of sales,



revenue generated, and market trends.

Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to the management team.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales leads, and other sales-related activities.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in hydraulics and/or wine industry preferred.

2-3 years of experience in sales is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical aptitude and ability to understand hydraulic components and hose.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals.

Proficiency in basic IT systems and CRM software.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for work – HR truck licence preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Work Setting:

The work of a Hydraulic & Industrial Sales Person is required to travel to customer sites on a rolling schedule or as required. They may also need to work outside of regular business hours to meet customer needs.
