As the National Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding their reach across Australia. Based in the office in Sydney or working remotely from Melbourne, you’ll spearhead the company's sales efforts by building relationships with national meat processors and food service providers. This is a brand-new role in a growing company with a small, agile team, where culture, collaboration, and innovation are at the core of everything they do.

The Role:

As this company continues to grow from strength to strength, we’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to step into this newly created role. You’ll work closely with the company founders to design and establish new B2B partnerships, serving as the primary point of contact.



You will be expected to drive national sales growth through a consultative, client-focused approach, developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with major meat processors and food service providers across the country. Leveraging your expertise in the meat industry, you will identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, managing your sales pipeline through the company’s well-built CRM system and utilising quality sales materials.

The Candidate:

- A hunter mentality when it comes to sales figures, with a proven track record of using a consultative selling approach. This role is not suited for order-takers.
- Previous experience in the meat industry is essential. We are looking for a meat specialist.
- Strong product knowledge of meat, including value-added products like sous vide, minced, and diced products.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment.
- Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in a meat, poultry, smallgoods, or high-care food facility.
- Collaborative in your approach but not afraid to make tough decisions to ensure the job is done right.




- A likeable personality that will help build solid client relationships and foster positive internal relationships.
- Strong organisational skills, including time management and the ability to prioritise tasks under competing deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Outstanding professional references from the meat or food industry.

The Offer:

This is a rare and exciting opportunity offering a six-figure package of $120,000–$140,000+ for the right candidate. Superannuation and bonuses are also available on top of this. A relocation package can be negotiated for out-of-town candidates.

If you’re based in Sydney, you will work out of the office in Surry Hills. If you're Melbourne-based, you will work remotely while acting as the face of the company to Melbourne-based clients.
