About Sunnyhaven:
Sunnyhaven is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities in our community of the St Georges and Sutherland regions of Sydney, through exceptional service and support. As a leading organisation in the disability sector, we are committed to high quality services, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Board Member Responsibilities:
As a non-remunerated member of the Board, you will:
- Provide strategic direction and governance
- Ensure the organisation’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of key initiatives
- Advocate for Sunnyhaven’s purpose and values
- Collaborate with fellow board members and the executive team
Desired Skills and Experience:
We are looking for individuals with skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Law: Expertise in legal matters, compliance, and governance
- Property: Knowledge of property management, development, and real estate markets
- Marketing:
Experience in brand management, digital marketing, and communications
- Technology: Proficiency in IT strategy, digital transformation, and emerging technologies
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the disability services sector with awareness of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
