Diabetes SA has been delivering services to people with diabetes and their families since 1953.

As a not-for-profit, member-based Association that is largely self–funded, our purpose is to reduce the risk and impact of diabetes in our community and to support people living with diabetes.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Fundraising Specialist to join our Brand & Philanthropy area.

Play an important role, working closely within a supportive and dedicated team, under the supervision and leadership of the Brand & Philanthropy Manager.

This is a diverse role that is an essential part of the Brand & Philanthropy area, contributing to its existing fundraising programs and working on the development of new ones. Be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing, new and prospective donors and delivering on outstanding donor stewardship that is reflected by income growth.

Drive income through coordination of Appeals, Bequests, Memorial and Regular Giving programs and work with the Brand and Philanthropy Manager to identify and implement new and innovative fundraising programs.

The role will suit a driven person who can demonstrate their commitment to engaging with donors in targeted and strategic manner, to ensure the success of the Associations fundraising programs.

About you

We are looking for enthusiastic individual who thrives in a team setting, possesses excellent fundraising and data management skills, and has a proven history of delivering donor expansion and retention through exceptional stewardship.

Integral to the role is:

- Experience in digital fundraising strategies, data bases, and CRM with high attention to detail.




- Proven experience in development, delivery and expansion of relationships and fundraising programs through digital, online, printed and outbound calling strategies.
- The ability to work cooperatively as part of a team whilst managing own workload to meet KPI’s.
- Proficient in data management, tracking and reporting campaign performance.
- Ability to engage with a variety of customers and stakeholders, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
