Mandatory Requirements:

Current Blue Card Holder or Willingness to apply for Blue Card

Current Drivers Licence

Purpose of the Position:

Providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children, to strengthen the family relationship and support the family to remain together. This role has a primary objective of making a significant and sustainable impact on reducing the need for statutory child protection intervention with families.

Position Requirements:

To ensure that good relationships are built with children and families

To ensure that what you know about local families is used to find support for the family in each community





To increase their knowledge and understanding of local cultural traditions, family groups and history

To ensure that every chance is given for children and families to stay together and be happy and healthy

To find links and pathways that are protected and supportive for children and families

Cultural Competency is highly desirable though training will be provided to the successful applicant.
