About the role
The City of Coffs Harbour is looking for a Senior Community Planner to join our Sustainable Places Group, reporting to the Section Leader Local Planning.
In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to take the lead on community planning priorities, with a special focus on supporting our most vulnerable communities in the beautiful City of Coffs Harbour. As the Senior Community Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring that we are addressing the needs of our community in an inclusive and effective way.
You'll be involved in some really important work as part of leading and coordinating the City's Community Planning Program including the development of strategies and policies that strengthen the community, building relationships with stakeholders, engaging with diverse community members, and researching key social issues that impact our city. You'll also be responsible for developing strategic community planning responses to key social issues, managing community consultation, and providing specialist advice on community related issues. Additionally, you will help us evaluate the impact of our policies and initiatives and coordinate advisory committees focused on community planning.

About you?
We're looking for someone who is proactive, passionate, and dedicated to helping others. If you have tertiary qualifications in social sciences, community services or related disciplines and demonstrated experience in social research and policy development, along with experience in stakeholder engagement, this might be the perfect role for you.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a good understanding of social issues and government processes.

- $96,123.76 per annum + Superannuation
