- Remuneration: $101,947 - $112,849; plus Superannuation and Leave Loading

The Advisor role will provide you with the opportunity to expand your network as you will have the chance to work with multiple teams, agencies, external stakeholders, and organisations to help shape your career. You will perform impactful work with these groups to work toward the implementation of Treasury’s annual Indigenous Expenditure Report.

Your day as an Advisor
This role offers an invaluable opportunity to drive cultural change within Treasury and across NSW Government to support the organisation’s commitments under Closing the Gap.
Your typical day-to-day work includes preparing and providing evidence-based policy, financial and economic advice, working with First Nations communities and government stakeholders.
You will be undertaking quantitative analysis and policy development to compliment the continuous improvement of the Indigenous Expenditure Report.
This role liaises extensively with other areas within Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders.
Achieve success as an Advisor
In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW and First Nations Groups.
You will be successful in this role if you are:
- confident engaging with members of the community and comfortable building networks
- customer-focused and empathetic
- skilled in demonstrating a high degree of First Nations cultural awareness and experience in partnership principles
- experienced in project management
- have excellent communication and negotiation skills
- qualified with tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in public policy, data analytics, commerce, finance, economics, business management or a related discipline / OR have demonstrated relevant professional experience & training.
