Rates: $100 - $130 per hour (inc. super)

The NBA's core business is to deliver blood supply that is responsive to patients needs plus governance and policy about blood and blood products. The Information Technology Services section is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of projects, business as usual support, infrastructure, security and operational call centre solutions which support the agency's vision of “ Saving and improving Australian lives through a world glass blood supply”.

The NBA is preparing to initiate Programs of work which will be responsible for delivering the new ICT Strategy. The NBA is looking for several Business Analysts who will be able to join our team and help us deliver this exciting digital transformation Program.

The Program goal is to digitally transform the NBA's ICT capabilities with high performing technology to modernise our sector.

The Program will be responsible for replacing several bespoke systems which are used by medical practitioners to manage patient treatments, orders,



supply and governance of blood and blood products and by patients who use the systems to manage their treatments in their day to day lives using mobile technology. Plus delivering corporate modernisation and cloud transition for applications, data and infrastructure.

The NBA deliver projects in line with the PRINCE2 project management methodology and Agile delivery method. We have internal development teams who manage and develop our inhouse bespoke systems and are increasing our industry relationships with COTS products.

The NBA is looking for experienced Business Analysts to join the team. The successful Business Analysts will be expected to contribute their experience and skills to support projects within the Program, by producing user stories, business requirements, stakeholder engagements and functional specifications.

Previous experience in Business and/or Data Analysis and technical writing and process design experience is required. This role will require the successful candidates to engage with both external and internal stakeholders, identify user needs, manage priorities and adapt to a dynamic working environment.

Requirements

- Capture and document complex requirements by facilitating requirements gathering workshops, undertaking detailed user research and analysis of business / technical requirements for projects requiring the following experience:




- Data architecture and analytics
- Business Process Modelling
- Business and Corporate Applications
- CoTS products

- Ability to produce high level artefacts including business, process and data flow diagrams articulating current and future states for management and use of NBA data and applications.
- Develop key analysis documentation including business requirement specifications, configuration specifications, corporate and business system process documents, options papers and/or gap analysis and present to senior business executives to gain approval.
- Ability to work with vendors to deliver a fit for purpose solution for the NBA including functionality assessment, workflow/process improvements and integration.
- Ability to coordinate and run internal and external stakeholder workshops to facilitate requirements gathering and or configuration requirements.
- When required manage a back log with the Product Owner to maintain user stories.
- Prepare technical and system documents as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication and engagement skills to work with external, internal stakeholders and senior executives to derive project needs.

Essential Criteria

1. Previous experience in Business and/or Data Analysis and technical writing and process design experience is required. This role will require the successful candidates to engage with both external and internal stakeholders, identify user needs, manage priorities and adapt to a dynamic working environment.
