The Data Engineer will have a solid technical background and demonstrable data engineering skills gained in a practical environment and as such those with only theoretical viewpoints will not be considered. The ideal candidate will be able to build on these skills and help deliver and maintain an end-to-end advanced analytics solution on cloud.
You will have exposure to Azure, ability to build and maintain data pipelines, understand CI/CD for end-to-end cloud solutions, be able to manage and maintain pre-existing ecosystems, you will be competent in SQL, SSIS and Data Factory with ability to flex into different variants easily and as required.

As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for:

- Developing data and analytics solutions utilising a multitude of on-premise and cloud-based technologies.
- Migrating old SSIS jobs into Azure Data Factory
- Working in an Agile environment with a team of Data Engineers from Junior to Senior level
- Providing technical input into the design, development and maintenance of the solutions




- Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of solutions
- Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to mitigate and address these issues
- Working directly with business personnel to accurately understand requirements
- Translate complex business requirements into technical design
- Articulate solutions in a non-technical manner to business stakeholders

You will need:

- Strong skills in writing SQL queries.
- Experience in developing and implementing Cloud-Based data solutions, specifically on the Microsoft Azure Platform
- Good hands-on experience of T-SQL/SSIS
- Data Warehousing on SQL Server including SSIS an advantage
- Good working knowledge of data modelling
- Experience of Azure data platform including: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Factory
- Be personable, flexible and a team player
- Good written and verbal communications
