Ambrose Construct Group is Australia's leading Insurance Repair Builders and requires the services of a DevOps Engineering Lead to join our growing and dynamic IT Department based in the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
The ideal applicant for this newly created and exciting position will be a strong DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience in the latest technology stacks and best practices, ready to step into a leading position.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with development teams to automate and optimize our release and deployment process.
- Design, create, and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, emphasizing scalability, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.
- Enhance system security and data protection strategies.
- Conduct system performance tuning and ensure high availability of our services.
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure and services, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
- Document and refine DevOps practices, including version control, code deployment, and configuration management.
- Design, develop, and integrate scripts to automate software testing and other processes, enforcing software engineering best practices.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams in creating CI/CD pipelines for their applications, ensuring proper code integration.
- Act as decision maker and subject matter expert on the configuration of development environments for consistency across devices and alignment with SDLC and security standards.




- Champion the design and configuration of the version control system, aligning it with SDLC, security policies, and industry best practices.
- Accountable for analysing findings from vulnerability scanning and penetration testing across the environment and leading the remediation processes across teams.

Desired skills and experience:

- University Degree in IT (preferred)
- 3 years solid DevOps Engineering experiencing
- Experience with cloud native development – AWS, Azure, GCP or similar
- Excellent technical communicator with deep analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Independent worker, self-starter and ability to lead DevOps practices in the team.
