Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive DevOps / IT Systems Administrator to join our IT and operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation, scalability, and security of our overall infrastructure, which includes AWS, Atlas MongoDB, Office 365, Cloudflare and other cloud-based services. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our cloud environments and ensuring that all systems and services run efficiently. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our internal IT infrastructure across all locations, ensuring robust security measures, and providing top-notch technical support to our staff. Your expertise will be crucial in administering our Office 365 environment, provisioning and deploying equipment globally, and conducting regular security audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM, etc.

Administer Atlas MongoDB clusters, ensuring optional performance, scaling, backups and security.

Monitor and optimise resource usage, cost management, and scaling strategies across cloud platforms.

Network and Security:

Implement, monitor, and manage Cloudflare configurations (DNS, CDN, DDoS protection, WAF and SSL management).

Ensure robust security practices, including firewalls, VPN’s, encryption, and IAM policies.





Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement security patches as needed.

Office 365 and User Management:

Manage Office 365 user accounts, groups, licenses and services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc).

Ensure compliance with IT policies related to user access and data protection.

Provide technical support for Office 365-related issues and integrations.

Automation and DevOps Practices:

Automate infrastructure management

Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless code deployment and efficient monitoring of production environments.

Monitoring and Incident Management:

Implement and monitor system health checks, alerts, and incident management tools

Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and performance issues in a timely manner.

Ensure backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity place and tested regularly.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain documentation for system architecture, configuration, procedures, and incident responses.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and manage audits as necessary.

Conduct periodic audits of security credentials and access rights to ensure compliance with company policies.

Stay updated with the latest technology trends and recommend new solutions for system improvements.

Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and IT resources.

Miscellaneous:

Lead the onboarding process for new employees, providing training and support on IT system and applications.

Provide timely and effective support for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting problems with computers, applications, and network connectivity.





Collaborate with other departments to understand IT requirements and implement solutions that align with business objectives.

Enhance configuration of OneDrive, SharePoint and Office 365 systems from a usability and security perspective.

Key Requirements:

Technical Skills:

AWS: Deep understanding of EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and other AWS services.

MongoDB Atlas: Experience in managing and optimizing MongoDB clusters.

Cloudflare: Expertise in managing DNS, CDN, DDoS protection and security services.

Office 365: Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 environments (users, permissions, integrations).

Networking: Knowledge of VPNs, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and general network security.

Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure management.

Experience in managing infrastructure in DevOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure management.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skill and ability to provide hands-on support for IT issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a focus on security, uptime, and performance.
