The role:

You will manage a team of multi-disciplinary professionals and support staff in achieving business goals through operational, financial and human resource management. This will include goal setting, monitoring of work unit performance against milestones, plans and budgets, business risk management and facilitating staff development and performance improvements.

Additional to this, you will be responsible for:

- Supporting managers in their role as cultural leaders through transformation process.
- Engaging the Clinical Information Systems Support unit in managing customer relationships, revenue, and cost.
- Working with senior management to define and deliver services against an agreed Service Level Agreement.
- Maintaining ISO 9001 accreditation
- Providing authoritative advice and leadership on all aspects of the information systems CISSU supports including Pathology, Medications management and Quality management systems.
- Developing and implementing new systems and processes based on service industry best practice to improve operational efficiency and quality (ITIL and PRINCE2).
- Leading and maintaining national and vendor specific user groups to enhance functional and non-functional capability across the state-wide applications supported.
- Developing strategic, analytical and innovative solutions to the planning,



development and delivery of improved functionality of clinical support systems within Queensland Health.

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated skills in managing customer experience through the ability to define customer value and deliver the differentiating services that ensure superior customer retention and satisfaction, and the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to drive results.

Furthermore, you wil have proven experience of managing a clinical information system department and experience in systems planning and development.
