About the Company

Steelstruct Engineering is a privately owned, highly regarded Western Australian company providing steel fabrication, hardfacing and precision machining services to Australia’s mining and resource markets. We manufacture from our modern, fully equipped workshops strategically located in Henderson (WA) and Rayong (Thailand).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a successful and growing team for a challenging full-time role in Henderson.

Specific Accountabilities:

· Review and interpretation of tender documentation to determine scope.

· Liaising with Clients and Suppliers for positive outcomes.

· Developing relationships with key people in our client companies.

· Seek new opportunities with existing and potential clients.

· Preparation of accurate tenders and quotations using norms, tonne rates and first principal methods.

· Accurately calculate labour hours.

· Undertake accurate material take-offs.





· Providing both firm and budget cost estimates.

· Partake in tender reviews with senior management.

· Following up on submitted tenders and quotations.

· Post-mortem reviews on all completed jobs.

About You

· Trade background or significant heavy steel fabrication industry experience.

· Minimum 5 years steel fabrication estimation experience.

· Highly developed attention to detail with a demonstrable track record in efficient and accurate document processing and data entry.

· Proficient skills and knowledge in IT systems and processes.

· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.

· Excellent planning, organisational, time management and decision-making skills.

· Team player with a can-do attitude.

· Actively participate in and support Steelstruct Safety initiatives and strategies.
