About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Garment tech / Product Developer to join Hurley on an on-going position.

The key objective of the Garment tech / Product Developer role is to oversee the creation and management of graded fit specs and product development.

Key Responsibilities

- Extensive technical and construction knowledge with the ability to amend / assess garments with respect to production specifications.
- An Extensive understanding of pattern making




- Creating and managing graded fit specs and how to measure guides for all styles (measurements and technically)
- Approve graded specifications as required
- Communicate the results of the fit meeting to the factory in a concise and timely manner
- Provide all information on the specification of the product to ensure the Production Team have all the information they need to avoid any foreseeable problems.
- This includes indicative costings, ratings and all BOM information.
- Maintain fabric and trim library in partnership with design team
- Manage the seasonal care labels and all other packaging requirements
- Review oversee and assist the design team with the completion of all tech packs to factories for accuracy, completeness, quality, and affordability
- Review all factory submits (lab dips, hand looms, knit downs, print strikes, ), Prototypes and samples to ensure manufacturing execution in partnership with design team
- Extensive technical and construction knowledge with the ability to amend / assess garments with respect to production specifications and price point while maintaining design integrity.
- An understanding of pattern making
- Ensuring the showrooms are consistently maintained to a highly presentable manner at all times
- Ensure ‘old’ samples are cleansed to DTC in a timely manner
- Brand awareness, knowledge of market and peer groups in regard to make, quality, price, style

Location

We are currently searching for our new office/creative space in the Manly area on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, however,



until we find the ideal location we will be sharing space with the groups newly created Converse/Group office in Roseberry. There is a blend of flexible working arrangements (teamliness policy) available.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess The Following Competencies

- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results
- 5 years’ experience in Product Development / Garment Technology
- Experience working with a premium level product
- Advanced skills in making of garment specifications and construction techniques
- Strong technical background with an ability to problem solve
- Advanced skills in attending and conducting fit meetings
- Positive attention to detail and a creative eye
- Must have 5 years of prior experience working with overseas suppliers
- Good communication skills
- Ability to complete presentations to small and large groups
- Advanced Adobe CS5 skills
- Advanced Microsoft office skills
- Previous product data entry
- Working knowledge of design and production
- Must have extensive experience in product construction/fabric construction/wash and print techniques/component level cost management and calendar(SGP) adherence management.
- Must be PC & MAC computer literate
