About the role:
The role is the sole financial analyst for the Victoria Police Professional Standards Command. You will be required to provide advice and direction to clients on a range of corporate financial management services, including analysis, interpretation and recommendations on budget management, forward financial planning and prioritisation of funds, financial compliance and performance, trends and emerging issues.
The role requires experience in the development and implementation of financial strategies as well as the ability to develop and maintain relationships with the Financial Services Department of Victoria Police and the leadership team within Professional Standards Command.

Your duties will include:
- Run reports and prepare briefings
- Prepare an Asset Management Plan for the Qualified Standards Command
- Register vendors and raise purchase orders
- Run report to establish the current state of the command budget
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Good communication skills and the proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Region/Department/Command
- Confidence to brief small teams on risk and issues
- Experience in providing financial management services, including the design and implementation of financial accountability frameworks across a large and complex organisation
- Experience in the development and implementation of financial strategies, and planning, developing and managing service delivery preferably in a public sector environment, including central agency requirements
- Substantial knowledge of governance and administrative arrangements associated with General Government processes
Requirements and relevant information:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
