About the Role
We're on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Group ESG and Sustainability Manager to join the Collins Foods family. In this exciting, newly created role, you will take ownership of Collins's Environmental Social Governance efforts and reputation in Australia & Europe; working with business units and functional SME's across the Collins Group to deliver our ongoing commitment to become more sustainable, environmentally friendly and socially responsible.
As the Group ESG & Sustainability Manager, your key duties & responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing Collins’s corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy and projects
- Overseeing the design and preparation of the company’s annual Sustainability Report
- Preparing proposals for Board & Exec consideration, and presenting as required
- Maintaining progress towards Collins’s 2026 targets across the three pillars: people & communities, planet & governance
- Assessing the company’s ability to commit to a net zero emissions target and oversee progress towards this target
- Assessing the company’s ability to commit to 100% renewables target by 2025 and oversee progress towards this target
- Leading and developing Collins’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) & Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) alignment programs, including supporting the Group CFO on the ISSB standards
- Overseeing coordination of the company’s newly formed ESG Council chaired by the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and be a key contributor and provide guidance and expertise
- Managing the assessment of Collins’s Scope 3 emissions and oversee data collection, analysis and reporting programs
- Identifying new growth opportunities by commercialising ESG initiatives within Collins
- Advocating and championing corporate responsibility to various audiences, internally and externally, to convey key company/brand actions and efforts
- Identifying and managing key corporate responsibility partnerships, memberships, and event opportunities
- Lead the development of an ESG reporting framework for Collins, including but not limited to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as required, and align business to best industry practice
- Building the Collins Responsible Sourcing standard and policy in conjunction with internal SME’s and departments
- Partner with our Franchisor, Yum! on all ESG related initiatives impacting KFC and/or Taco Bell brands
About You
As the Group ESG & Sustainability Manager at Collins, you will be a passionate advocate for sustainability and are looking for a role where you can take ownership of a function and make it your own. You will have worked in a similar role, ideally in an ASX listed environment, for 5-10 years, and have proven results at delivering contemporary corporate social responsibility strategies and objectives. Reporting frameworks will account for a large portion of your role, and you will have extensive experience in sustainability reporting, including TCFD, TNFD, GRI, CDP and NGER.
