As a Graduate Geologist you will experience how geology makes a difference across Evolution, from helping our site geology teams keep operations running efficiently, to testing exploration targets that might be the next big discovery – all while developing your skills and experience. Split time between Discovery & Geology specialties on site (over the course of the 2-year program)

About the role

Our geologists play a key role in the discovery, definition and understanding of our ore deposits. The Graduate Program will enable you to develop skills and experience within the site geological teams including Discovery, Resource Definition and Mining. Some of the key result areas in this role may include:

Gain Evolution Mine Site and Exploration experience within the Discovery & Geology Functions via site placement and project exposure in mining and exploration environments

Build technical understanding of Mineral Systems and the processes and techniques involved with the exploration, definition and extraction of gold

Contribute as part of a diverse professional team including geoscience and technical colleagues, mining engineers, surveyors, operators, field and support staff and contractors

Support and provide assistance with daily activities within the Geology team, which may include:

Collecting and interpreting geological data

Supervising geological work programs

Working in operating open pit and/or underground mines

Working in remote exploration environments

Visualisation and interpretation of data using 2D and 3D geological software

Application of geochemistry, geophysics and structural geology





Develop and maintain strong and supportive relationships with stakeholders to align with Evolution’s site Geology and Discovery initiatives

N.B. Should you successfully fulfill all requirements of the two-year Graduate Program, you will be offered a permanent role in the business.

About you

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:
Degree qualification in science majoring in Geology. Geoscience, Geophysics (Honours strongly preferred) or similar degree within the last 3 years

A genuine passion for Geoscience and desire to work on diverse ore deposits

Ability to coordinate a range of activities within a demanding setting

Adaptability in various environments and situations

Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels

Strong analytical skills

Strong research and critical thinking skills
