- Salary $72,751 plus 10.5% superannuation – VPS Grade 3
- Based in Ballarat GovHub or Melbourne CBD, with flexibility to work from home and travel between sites.

The chance
Due to an internal promotion,
an excellent opportunity is available for a motivated individual to join our small, busy and dynamic HR services team. The Human Resources Consultant is responsible for completing HR processes across the full employee life cycle (recruitment, onboarding, employment variations, offboarding). This position requires excellent customer service skills as the first point of contact for employees and managers to resolve first level enquiries on processes or policy.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and administering recruitment, selection, induction, and probation processes in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Applying relevant agreements, policies, and legislation to provide expert advice to staff and managers on human resource matters.
- Establishing, maintaining, and administering records on our digital and manual databases, as well as assisting with reporting and analysis of data for monthly and annual reports.
Who we are looking for
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in a HR environment, with a good understanding and an ability to interpret, apply and provide advice on relevant HR legislation, agreements, and policies.
- Proven time management skills with an ability to plan, prioritise and multitask.
- Excellent written communication skills including the ability to prepare job advertisements, letters, emails.
