About the role
The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring that Community Gateway has efficient systems that support the smooth and effective provision of services to our clients and that all day-to-day IT needs are met.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of IT and ensure effective delivery of the IT Strategy.
- Ensure that Community Gateway has systems that are robust and support the smooth and effective provision of service to its clients.
- Drive greater service levels and efficiencies by ensuring that appropriate systems are in place and are functioning at their highest level.
- Support development of BI capabilities and manage IT infrastructure, services, and software.
- Work with the General Manager Corporate Services to maintain cyber security initiatives and ensure disaster recovery plans are up-to-date.
- Manage database archiving and test system environments.
- Produce reports to meet statutory reporting obligations and works with users to develop reports to meet business management needs.
- Supports system users on site and at remote sites through regular contact including developing user manuals and delivering systems training.
- Oversee the audits,
procurement and deployment of all IT devices and develop and maintain constructive relationships within the organisation and with external parties.
About you
Essential:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role and relevant accredited industry qualifications in Information Technology (TAFE minimum).
- Familiarity with formal project management methodologies.
- Experience in the testing and implementation of new systems.
- High level competency in Microsoft Office products in particular Excel and Access.
- Experience in the use of report writing tools.
- Experience in the management of delivery of quality business data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and risk management processes.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel between offices.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures and implement quality processes.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain a NDIS worker screening check.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the non for profit / community sector.
- Demonstrated awareness of the issues that affect people with a disability, people who are frail aged, and their carers including client centred service delivery.
