The School of Psychological Sciences is seeking a suitably qualified academic/s to be involved in the development, implementation, and delivery of units in the Bachelor of Cognitive and Brain Sciences course at Macquarie University
THE ROLE
- Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B) from $110,274 to $130,472, plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Appointment Type: 1 FTE fixed-term position available until 27th March 2024. Part-time positions are also possible, a minimum of 0.2 FTE (1 day per week).

The School of Psychological Sciences is seeking a suitably qualified academic/s to be involved in the development, implementation, and delivery of units in the Bachelor of Cognitive and Brain Sciences course at Macquarie University
ABOUT YOU
You will have a tertiary qualification in cognitive science or psychology or a related discipline, and the capacity to design, deliver units and programs at the undergraduate level. Additionally, you will possess a willingness to embrace educational technology, blended learning and educational innovation.

We offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Psychology with the largest suite of postgraduate programs in New South Wales. We also offer the Bachelor of Cognitive and Brain Sciences degree.
The School sits under the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS)
whose current education suite includes courses in clinical science, physiotherapy, medicine, exercise and sports science, public health, psychology, cognitive sciences, linguistics, audiology, and speech pathology. The Faculty forms part of MQ Health, an integrated academic health sciences enterprise that incorporates Macquarie University Hospital and primary and speciality clinics.

To be considered for this position, please apply online by submitting your CV and a separate (2-page maximum) cover letter that details how you meet each of the following selection criteria:
- A PhD or equivalent tertiary qualifications in Cognitive Sciences or Psychology or a related discipline.
- A commitment and capability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching, including the design, delivery, and management of face-to-face and online content, lectures, tutorials, and assessments, with evidence of excellent student outcomes and reflective practice.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
with an ability to relate to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Evidence of successful delivery to diverse student cohorts and of creating a positive student experience characterised by strong engagement at the undergraduate level.
- Experience in teaching in cognitive science topics such as cognitive and brain sciences, attention, delusions and disorders of the brain, and memory.
