The Prospect

Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution site and in a newly established team as an Operations Leader . This site, known as the BlueScope National Distribution Product, Processing, & Services Hub ( The Hub ), is based in Unanderra. The Hub plays a fundamental role in developing specialised products for our customers and will lift our distribution capability to support strategic national projects in the renewables, infrastructure, agriculture, transport, & defence sectors.

In this exciting role, you will lead, motivate, and develop a high performing team to ensure our products and services are of the highest quality to meet our customers’ needs now and in the future. What Will You Do?

Supporting the Operations Manager, you’ll work with the operations team to establish a culture that is focused on inclusiveness, quality, service, and continuous improvement. You will:

- coach and develop team members to build capability and development, and nurture a culture that will deliver world class products of the highest quality
- optimise the use of our processing equipment to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations with a focus on asset utilization, operational efficiency and quality of product
- plan, co-ordinate and monitor the movement of product for the site, providing support and customer service excellence to internal and external customers. This includes inventory management, dispatch and load planning
- work collaboratively with the alternate shift team to drive improvement of all operational processes
- successfully contribute to a safe working environment and model this culture across your team and site
