Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a 295 bed, fully accredited tertiary facility providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.

Our theatre complex has recently grown to 15 theatres including a Day Procedure Centre, Hybrid Theatre and supports a range of acute specialties including General, Endoscopy, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, ENT & Paediatric surgery.

The Physiotherapy team at Knox Private Hospital are a passionate and friendly team who work collaboratively to provide excellence in patient care. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced physiotherapist to join our team on weekdays (Monday – Friday) in a casual capacity, working across other Healthscope sites including Ringwood Private Hospital.

You will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload including acute orthopaedics, general medicine and oncology/palliative care. To succeed in this role, you will require a strong clinical skillset, flexibility, exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast passed setting.

As a Physiotherapist, your responsibilities will include:





Providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to acute inpatients (including orthopaedics, general medical, palliative care/oncology).

Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence based practice

Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department

Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people

Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services

Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students

Demonstrated ability you work independently and with a team.

May be required to work across sites including Knox Private Hospital and Ringwood Private Hospital.

Selection Criteria:

Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent

Minimum 3 years Physiotherapy clinical experience

Current AHPRA Registration

Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment and intervention.

Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork

Experience with Orthopaedic, general medicine preferred.

Weekday (Monday, Thursday, Friday) availability required, and potential for weekends.
