About us

Prince of Wales Private Hospital Is one of Sydney’s leading Private Hospitals. Our hospital has 168 Inpatient beds and 20 Day surgery spaces specialising in multiple areas of care such as Cardiothoracic Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Intensive Care, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Colorectal, Maternity, ENT, Plastics, and Oncology.

Located in the heart of Randwick, even our location is unique! We share a campus with Sydney Children’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Public Hospital, & The Royal Hospital for Women. This provides us a unique opportunity for team-oriented treatment and advanced care not usually available at smaller facilities. The hospital is part of the Healthscope group of hospitals. Opportunities exist for secondment to other Healthscope hospitals in the acute and rehabilitation settings.

As a Physiotherapist, your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to acute surgical inpatients (including orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac and neurosurgery, and ICU/CCU patients.





Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence based practice

Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department

Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people

Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.

Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor in Physiotherapy

Current AHPRA Registration

Able to work a range of shifts Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload

Minimum 1 years’ experience in an acute hospital environment

Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork

Clinical skills in ICU preferred
