Position Details

Position Summary

The Business Operations Centre team is responsible for functioning as the first response for managing and coordinating the ongoing roll-out of the CIRV system in the state of Victoria. Operating as a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, the group will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver an effective and efficient immunisation campaign.

Duties Include

The Principal Technical Analyst role is responsible for leading the design, development, configuration and support services relating to Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions and undertaking data analytics responsibilities.

- Supporting incident management resolution.




- Under taking data analysis on large volumes of data from varied data sources to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Writing and communicating technical requirements for new and ongoing projects.
- Developing and delivering operational reports and summaries of problems or technical difficulties.
- Assessing infrastructure and platform tools to judge feasibility and usefulness of available tools and resources.
- Maintaining and updating software, hardware, and training materials.

Accountabilities

- Lead, plan and facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders to define the business problem, efficiency gain or improved customer service opportunity.
- Perform support functions including incident management across assigned systems.
- Facilitate strategic thinking, innovation and process re-engineering to support the delivery of high quality solution outcomes that meet business and citizen expectations.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders in relation to functional requirements and design implications including cross program implications.
- Under take data analysis on large volumes of data from varied data sources to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Maintain an understanding of the department's approved platforms and systems.
- Quality assures deliverables prepared by the team and third parties, identify issues and provide clear recommendations for resolution.
- Maintain business domain knowledge of the business applications and associated processes to support business engagement and optimise solution design.
- Adhere to the government, IDS and SSU's strategies, policies and methodologies (e.g. PDM).
- Prepare, develop, maintain and manage detailed work estimates and schedules for projects, minor enhancements and defects.
- Manage system testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing activities.
- Maintain knowledge of new and evolving technologies and work closely with the Solutions, Enablement & QA team to ensure solutions meet approved high level application architecture.




- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
