About the role
Accountable for the quality and effectiveness of the maintenance planning data being provided. You will provide planning oversight throughout the Five Yearly planning cycle ensuring that External Maintenance Period (EMP) objectives can be achieved, the correct maintenance is identified and available for procurement purposes. Of most importance is the engagement and alignment between stakeholders in the Asset Class Enterprise, Ship’s Staff, Regional Maintenance Centre, and internal teams to achieve asset availability to meet the client’s operational needs.
This is a permanent, full-time prospect which will initially form a part of the FFH (Anzac Class) Ramp Up team, working with the Transition Manager to successfully transition the Anzac Class into the RMC. Once successful completion of the FFH transition has occurred, after approximately 18 months, this position will transition into the wider RMC team supporting all platforms in the region.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Playing a key role in developing a robust, efficient, and effective maintenance management system;
- The identification and planning of all maintenance requirements over a five-year horizon for all products supported by RMC West;
- Encourage a change culture ensuring all are committed to identifying and improving existing maintenance and planning support practices and procedures;
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures for all maintenance requirements definition activities; and
- Analysis of maintenance tasks through trend monitoring, cost, and defect analysis, and recommending changes to enhance the effectiveness of the maintenance baseline.
About you
Essential:
- Experience in a similar role providing analysis of, and assistance in, the development of maintenance strategies;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining delivery to high technical and quality standards;
- Proven ability to maintain contract deliverables to high technical and quality standards;
- Demonstrable experience in a leadership position, with a focus one motivating and engaging teams;
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels;
- Robust project management, time management and organisational skills; and
- AMPS level 35 user.
Desirable:
- Technical knowledge of warship major platform systems;
- AMPS level 80 user; and
- Current, valid driver’s license.
Essential Compliance Requirements:
- Undertake training in the use of the Asset Management and Planning Systems (AMPS). You will utilise AMPS to collect data to create and request reports at the AMPS Maintenance Planner Level;
- Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance; and
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
