We currently have a new opportunity as a Project Accountant within our Finance Team based in Edinburgh Parks, South Australia. Hybrid working arrangement and 9 days a fortnight full time working arrangements are on offer.

Your new role:
As the Project Accountant,
you will support the Project and Finance Manager in maintaining the integrity and transparency of financial data to facilitate planning and decision making.
In more specific terms you will:
- Provide detailed, accurate and relevant reporting and commentary by the specified deadlines on forecasts, budget and cash flow to the project team, central finance group and corporate staff.
- Complete compliance to corporate guidelines, policies and procedures as well as accounting standards and legislation
- Improve processes used to calculate accurate, timely and efficient reporting of the financial results for the project (e.g. streamline month-end process)
- Collaborate with the project controls group on job ledger issues
- Prepare journals for project accruals and adjustments
- Manage the accruals process prepare and review reconciliation process between job and general ledger
About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Be a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (Chartered Accountant), CPA Australia or CA (or working towards)
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian International Framework of Reporting Standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of ongoing billing processes, maintenance and monitoring, including incorporating changes resulting from Contract Change Proposal's
- Experience with Month-end reporting activities
- An ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and members of the broader finance team
