The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of Victorians into the future. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager, Gender Separation Project plays a key role in supporting the Victorian Government's response to the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System in Gender Separation within the mental health intensive care areas project.

This role requires strong relationship building and collaboration skills, you will establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of critical infrastructure initiatives in partnership with others.

You will have the ability to manage complexity, apply analytical skills to a variety of information and data, scope opportunities and issues, and synthesise complex information into legible, tangible products to improve the safety and quality of services,



service capacity, models of care, patient and staff amenity and service efficiency of Victoria's health asset portfolio.

Accountabilities

- Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:

(a) Reviewing and preparing project feasibility information, including establishing budgets and key milestones.

(b) Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.

(c) Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.

(d) Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.

- Collaborate with internal and external teams and resources on a range of matter, such as planning, design, procurement, legal and communications.
- Oversee, monitoring and delivery of projects, to ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Identify and actively manage emerging issues and areas of risk for government, department and the community and analyse data from multiple sources to provide authoritative advice on trends,



risks and issues to support accountability monitoring and contribute to policy reform initiatives.
- Provide explicit authoritative advice and reporting on project planning, project delivery status, benefits and outcomes for a range of stakeholders including Ministers, Secretary, senior officers and project teams.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.

As it is an essential element of any role within the department that employees be able to attend work onsite and to do so safely, employees are required to be up-to-date with their vaccinations against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment.
