Release Manager & Environment Lead (Two Positions)
Location: Melbourne preferred, but will consider Sydney or Adelaide
Working Arrangement: 3 days in the office per week, 2 from home
Day Rate: $600-$700 per day (incl. super)
Salary Option: Max $110k + super
Contract Length: Initial 6 months + extension
Our client is seeking two highly skilled professionals to join their team in key roles. The roles of Release Manager and Environment Lead are integral to managing software releases and maintaining multi-tenant environments across the business. Responsibilities

- Lead release management processes for software changes across multiple streams.
- Plan and manage the full release lifecycle, ensuring smooth and timely software releases.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including change management, training, and delivery teams, to define and execute release schedules.
- Oversee the provisioning, maintenance, and readiness of environments for delivery teams within each release.
- Manage code retrofits from the latest codebase and oversee platform-level maintenance.




- Assist in post go-live support and incident resolution during the warranty period, collaborating with setting support teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in release and environment management practices and tools.

Required Experience:

- Extensive experience in release management within software delivery.
- Strong understanding of software delivery methods, processes, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of service management principles and change management processes.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Plutora (or similar), Jira, and Confluence.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent streams of work.

Desired Skills:

- SAFe experience preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience in the banking domain is a plus.
- Familiarity with test data management and working in a DevOps environment is an advantage.
