How will I help?

As a Senior Analyst in Data Analytics Strategy and Transformation Group, you will support and advise our Product and compliance partners by providing in-depth analysis and actionable insights using Westpac's data and analytical assets.

Through this role, you will be able to strengthen Westpac's information and analytical capability to provide our business partners with self-serve information, identify and effectively communicate detection and reporting of effectiveness of Product sales process including Responsible Lending, Sales Quality monitoring, malpractices and potential compliance breaches by staff or third-party service provider. You will play a vital role in the mitigation of risk and the prevention of financial loss ensuring there is minimal effect on customers of Westpac.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working with business stakeholders to gather Dashboarding/reporting requirements
- Leveraging existing template report, document localised user stories
- Providing consultation on visualisation options and collaborate on prototyping of dashboards
- Performing the development of business intelligence solutions for projects, enhancements, and maintenance and/or support functions
- Developing and supporting repeatable and customisable analytics processes for reporting on business impacts
- Conducting component testing and peer review of solutions developed to ensure quality and fit for purpose deliverables
- Assisting support teams to conduct low level complex problem management and level three issue support to ensure system availability, reliability, stability and recoverability of applications
- Applying Agile frameworks, techniques and processes and overlay agile reporting and governance to deliver incremental value to areas of responsibility
- Applying Design Thinking principles such as customer empathy,



creative collaboration as well as test and learn mechanism, ensuring solutions address customer needs and are viable and feasible for the business

What do I need?

- Minimum tertiary level qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or any other technology related field
- Strong SQL experience (5+ years) preferably in Teradata environment
- 4+ years of relevant BI development experience with 2+ year's end-to-end development experience with Qlik Sense using advanced level development skills
- Excellent proficiency in UX/UI design
- Proven experience scripting Qlik Sense expressions, set analysis, storytelling, data load scripting, QMC and security setup of Qlik Sense reports
- Expertise in data modelling, ETL design, data processing, business intelligence and analytics technologies
- Understands how to link from BI tools to various data sources (such as Flat files, SQL Server, Apache Hadoop Hive and Teradata)



using ODBC and OLEDB drivers
- Advanced user of Qlik Sense and other analytical tools
- Experience with Agile project delivery methodology preferably SCRUM
- Exposure to Confluence and JIRA or other similar workflow and knowledge management tools (desirable)
- Prior experience with Banking or Finance Services industry is preferred (desirable)
- Experience in using Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket (or other source code control tool) (desirable)
