Senior Infrastructure Engineer Contract Position Great Daily Rate

Your new role

- Preparing definition documents, solution specifications, design documentation, acceptance test procedures and other associated documentation to align with project objectives, and participating in the product integration and verification phases
- Supporting the planning and coordination of program hardware integration activities, and delivering hardware integration services for systems and/or sub-systems of products

- Integration of the solution elements in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behaviour, interactions and performance to confirm that the requirements against which the solution has been designed are fulfilled
- Product installation, configuration, validation and handover of equipment to systems integration teams locally or on customer sites
- Defining and leading infrastructure testing activities in order to demonstrate the solution satisfies the user requirements
- Participating in Design Reviews with customers




- Identifying risks and proposing effective solutions

What you'll need to succeed

- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, IT or other relevant qualification
- Solid experience with the Red Hat Linux Operating Systems, including Kernel configuration, driver packages, performance tuning and automation
- Experience with Automation Tools (Ansible)
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Travis, Octopus)
- IAAS/PAAS experience (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
- Experience of scripting languages (Python, Perl and Shell)
- Familiarity with a wide range of computer and networking hardware (preferably HP and Cisco)
- Solid understanding of hardware integration and testing processes
- Practical experience of validation and integration of hardware components on large, complex, software-based systems
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail
