About the Role:
As a member of a small but growing IT Team, the Systems Administrator is a new role created to assist with the advanced support of the IT setting of the organisation, as well as to assist the Group IT Manager with the rollout of a long list of exciting projects that are planned and in the pipeline.
You will not be bored - The department is relatively small, and very busy, and we’re working at a quick pace to roll out an agreed roadmap of exciting, planned projects. You will have the ability to get involved in a variety of these projects.
There is a strong focus on cybersecurity, Office 365, Azure, automation, and working on upgrading the disparate operating environment that currently exists within the organisation.
50% of the time will be Business-as-Usual end-user support - To provide phone and remote access support to end-users by being the overflow for 1st-level support and providing 2nd-level support.
The remaining 50% of the time will be project work– To assist the Group IT Manager in rolling out a variety of projects.
The location will be a hybrid of 2 days WFH and 3 days working from the office in Bondi Junction.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to all service desk tickets and requests and providing advanced technical and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues that cannot be resolved by the 1st level helpdesk.
- Providing technical support across the company (this will predominantly be over the phone and using remote management software)
- Setting up user accounts and mailboxes for new users
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Manage public cloud infrastructure - Azure & M365
- Cyber & Endpoint Security management - Intune, Defender, Sentinel etc
- Assisting with the technical setup and rollout of a variety of IT projects, and taking charge of to ensure they are run on schedule and any issues that arise are managed in a timely fashion
Essential Experience:
- Proven customer service skills. A polite phone manner and patience when dealing with non-technical people, and able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff on technical matters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 5 years’ technical helpdesk experience providing support to end-users remotely working in a Windows 10/11 environment, Microsoft Office 365, hardware, applications and mobile devices, VoIP
- Windows Server suite of administration services
- Advanced skills in Office 365 administration, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange Online
- Experience with Azure Services, Security, Endpoint Manager and MDM, Identity, SharePoint, Teams, Purview
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and advanced troubleshooting skills with networking hardware and protocols, WIFI, Internet modems, routers and general IT hardware
- Some Cyber Security experience, like Essential Eight would be highly regarded
- Experience with cloud-based VoIP phone systems
- Good general experience across a variety of platforms and applications and an ability to pick up and learn new platforms easily.
