Southern Ridge Electrical has been supporting pathways for Electrical Apprentices for the last 9 years. We provide the opportunity to experience work on both Residential and Commercial construction projects in Gippsland and Melbourne South East.

We are looking for 1st year electrical apprentices to commence their apprenticeships, based out of our South East location in Pakenham.

What you'll be doing

- Support experienced electricians with the installation and upkeep of electrical systems within our Residential division
- Learn to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics
- Build skills in diagnosing and resolving electrical problems
- Engage in both theoretical and hands-on training to earn your Electrical License
- Ensure a safe and tidy work environment
- Collaborate with the team to provide top-notch electrical services to clients

What we're looking for

- A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for the electrical trade
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong hand-eye coordination and keen attention to detail
- Capability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Having reviewed numerous resumes and applications for 1st Year apprentices, we've compiled a list of key qualities we look for in solid candidates:

- Cover Letter: Tailor it to the specific job you're applying for.
- Resume: Be sure to include your date of birth, education background, and hobbies.
- Cert II in Electrotechnology: Highly recommended.
- Education: Completion of at least Year 11.
- Manual Driver’s License: If applicable, be sure to mention it.
- Relevant Trade Experience: Any related experience is a plus.
- Construction Induction White Card: Required for work in the construction industry.
