Workfast is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join the Service and Care team, servicing the Brisbane and Gold Coast region for the role.

Our client is a long standing business leader in the Recycling Solutions space who in additional to providing Recycling Solution also Build, Install, Service, and Maintain all things related to Recycling like Chutes, Bin Lifters, Carousels and more. They build in house, have a team for installing, as well as a Service and Care Team for the Maintenance and Servicing.

This role joins the Service and Care Team across the Gold Coast & Brisbane region servicing, and providing maintenance to Recycling Equipment across the region, however is not dealing with rubbish itself.

The rate of pay ranges between Up to $60 per hour + Super, depending on experience, + OT + Car

You must have 4 years trade/TA experience within either Automotive, Mechanical, Fitter, Electrical or Similar

About you

- Candidates must have at least 4 years Experience
- Trade background within either Automotive, Mechanical, Fitter, Electrical or Similar
- Forklift License
- Must have a White Card
- Must have a valid NSW drivers licence
- Physically fit to carry out labouring work

What you will be doing

- Takes ownership of allocated tasks and duties – follows through to task completion.



Ensuring sufficient task analysis is completed to carry work out safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic
equipment while in the field.
- Productive and accurate installation of equipment in accordance with drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Participate in training programs as directed by the company
- Provide on-call emergency service as required and maintain communication with the department manager while in the field.
- Educate customers on correct operational requirements, preventive
maintenance and safety requirements, and provide general customer service on the phone and in person
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying
solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
