About the Role
The primary function of this role is to is to ensure that School property and grounds on the nominated campus is always maintained in a safe and well-presented manner to the School community and visitors.

This is to be achieved in a proactive manner by following a structured preventative maintenance regime and the undertaking of all property works effectively, efficiently, safely and professionally.

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrates and displays an understanding of the Islamic ethos of the school, supporting the school’s philosophy, values, beliefs, and mission whilst contributing to a caring and supportive environment for all students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to complete tasks related to general grounds, plants, and building maintenance, utilizing skills such as basic carpentry, plumbing, and other general maintenance works.
- Previous experience in general handyman roles or property maintenance.
- Experience using power tools, basic hand tools, ride-on mowers, pressure cleaners, and similar equipment.




- A trade or facilities background would be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, students, and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours if required for urgent maintenance tasks.
