We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a General Hand. This position does not require extensive experience, but rather a willingness to learn and contribute to the school’s operations. The ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude, enthusiasm for the job, and a desire to grow within School. School leavers welcome to apply. This can be a part-time or full-time role.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist with general tasks as directed by Head of Property or Facilities Manager.
- Perform various manual labour duties, including but not limited to lifting, moving materials.
- Support experienced team members in completing projects efficiently and effectively.
- Learn new skills and techniques from experienced staff members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work setting.
- Set-up and removal of function equipment as required.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks as allocated by the Facilities Manager
- As a general hand,



assist other workers (including subcontractors and suppliers) to complete repairs as needed.
- A willingness to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Be able to multitask, prioritise, meet service KPIs and work unsupervised.
- Attend relevant training courses as required to perform maintenance tasks in a safe manner.
- Undertake other duties at the request of the Head of Property or Facilities Manager

Essential Criteria

- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and construction practices and methods
- Requirement to work during pupil vacation periods.
- Valuable communication skills
- Good grooming and presentation
- Be a team player.
- Enthusiasm for learning
- Be physically fit.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Have a positive attitude.
