APG is currently seeking multiple experienced General Labourer's for a 12-month assignment within a Government Sector based at Daceyville.

Location: Daceyville
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Rate: $33.61 per hour + Superannuation
Work Hours: 7.6 hours a day, 38 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Primary Purpose of the Role:
The Maintenance Support Officer perform general labourer tasks to support our Maintenance Area Teams who are responsible for ensuring our customers receive consistently high quality and reliable water, wastewater, stormwater and recycled water services through the provision of complex network operations and maintenance services.

Responsibilities of the role:
Perform general labourer tasks to support Maintenance Area Teams including:

- Wastewater clean-ups after sewer overflows
- Clean-up and restore worksites
- Assist experienced crews in office
- Locate assets indicated on maps
- Use of power tools and machines (e.g., Excavators) when needed
- Handle and transport materials and equipment
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks (e.g., digging, site restorations, wastewater clean-ups)




- Assist other crew members by delivering materials and equipment necessary to complete projects on time

Requirements and skills:

- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting, working outdoors in all weather conditions)
- MR drivers licence or willing to obtain prior to commencing
- White Card
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety policies and procedures
- Basic computer/ phones skills (i.e. Microsoft applications and take photos)
- Reliability and punctuality
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is desired but not essential
- Police check, working with children check and general medical to be completed prior to commencement
