About the Role
As a Lifting Equipment Assembly & Test Technician, you will be responsible for sling assembly manufacture and test bed operations, preparation of raw materials for production, packaging and presentation of completed product “on time & in full”, meeting customer expectations with a focus on assembly of RUD products. Your position has plenty of variety and if you are an analytical thinker, you will enjoy working in this team each day!
Your tasks would include but not limited to:
- Assemble & test slings and lifting devices/beams & test slings
- Inspect lifting slings and equipment
- Operating machinery and use of hand tools
- Assembly RUD manufactured products eg: vehicle hoists
- Tyre Protection Chain fitment, modifications and service (in house)
- A – Z General Workshop assistance
Your skillset requirements would include:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar industry in Mechanical Fitting or Production Assembly
- Ability to prepare materials for fabrication/manufacturing and assembly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Current High Risk Forklift licence
- Must have current working rights for Australia with no restrictions
- Ability to interpret engineered drawings for assembly purposes
