We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Maintenance Fitter who's looking for the next step in their career to oversee all maintenance duties on the afternoon shift from 3:30pm-11:30pm. This role is responsible for maintaining processing machinery and equipment at a brand new wet pet food processing site, whilst also supporting the day-to-day production requirements of the business.

The Role:

- Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively.
- Fault finding and problem resolution to ensure minimum downtime of all plant equipment.
- Reading technical drawings and troubleshooting machinery.
- Working with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.
- Working constructively and co-operatively within a team environment.
- Alignment and focus on safety and secure working methods.
- Undertaking preventative and routine maintenance schedules.
- Working with our Operations team to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are identified and introduced wherever practicable.
- Commitment to complying with Company Policies and Procedures and relevant legislative requirements

The Candidate:

- Licensed Fitter and Turner with previous experience in a maintenance role,



preferably within a food or meat manufacturing environment.
- A commercial mindset for minimising downtime in production.
- Ability to understand production processes and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability of repairing and maintaining plant & equipment.
- Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Current disconnect and reconnect licence would be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work overtime as required for plant maintenance.
- Self-motivated, results driven and an ability to work collaboratively, as well as autonomously.
- Desire to grow into a senior Manager at this fast growing company. As the company grows, so too will your maintenance team.

The Offer:

- $110,000 per year, with superannuation on top.
- This is not a high stress environment like other traditional meat plants. The plant is newly built and the entire site currently has around 35 employees.
- This is a full time permanent role that will provide you with paid sick and annual leave.
- Afternoon Shift - 3:30pm-11:30pm Monday through Friday.
