About the opportunity:

Across the business, we have an exciting growth as a leading packaging company in Australia which you will be a significant contributor to. We are now looking for an Experienced Assistant Printer to join our team in Somerton, VIC.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Have an eye for detail when assisting with printing label products which have tight quality specifications
- Work flexibly, the Assistant Printer performs a wide wage of duties including machine set-up, Mounting plates, make job ready, ink preparation and general housekeeping & wash ups, providing support to the Printer
- You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures




- Form a trusting bond with the printers and communicate effectively across multiple work groups, you will be an important part of the printer’s success and ability to run their press effectively
- Support minor maintenance tasks and trouble shooting.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Ideally, experience working with any flexographic printing would be advantageous
- Experience in a manufacturing setting would be ideal
- Must be able to work autonomously and take initiative
- To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
