To undertake repairs, small area installation and maintenance on our synthetic athletic tracks and sporting fields in an efficient & professional manner

Key Responsibilities

- Undertake repair works to athletics track and artificial turf sporting surfaces.
- Undertake specialist maintenance activities on synthetic sporting surfaces, including pressure washing, grooming/brushing activities or other works as required.
- Installation of new surfacing on small-scale projects for athletics track and artificial turf landscaping and/or sporting surfaces.
- Inspection of sporting facilities to assist in the preparation of condition reports outlining observations from the inspection, including any repair works that may be required.
- Assist the Service Division in the preparation of quotations for repair works.




- Maintain accurate records of stock usage and inventory movements.
- Maintain Polytan equipment in a serviceable manner.
- Undertake work tasks in a manner which protects the safety and well-being of yourself, others (i.e Polytan employees, customers and general public) and the setting.
- Coordination of onsite repair/maintenance works to be done in an efficient manner and at times agreed with the facility manager
- Flexible in hours as work demands within a full-time equivalent role, including work-related travel to remote location projects.

Qualifications

- Full driver's license required with own transport;
- Forklift license;
- Construction induction training (white) card.
- First Aid certificate.
- Direct experience in the installation of synthetic sports surfaces.
- Focus on attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously as work tasks require.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Competent verbal (face-to-face / phone) & written (email) communication skills;
- Previous experience in sports facility construction would be viewed favorably
- Frequent travel (around Melbourne metro and some interstate travel - for training purposes) required
