WA Haulage Repairs are seeking an experienced and dedicated Workshop Manager to join us on a full time basis in our Perth workshop, managing a staff of 15.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Open and close of the premises, performing all requisite checks
- Allocation of tasks to all staff members, ensuring quality & efficiency of work
- Move vehicles in & out of the workshop as required
- Liaise with clients and our company Director to promote maximum workflow & future growth
- Delegate staff to complete on site servicing, break downs repairs, and maintaining the cleanliness of the workplace
- Maintain adherence to company policies & procedures and OH&S; standards
- Inspect all completed works are correct and to the standards and ADR Compliance
- Oversee the management of parts and sublet labour,
accounting for costs to ensure correct invoicing
- Translate customer needs and indicate times and pricing for work required, generating quotes for approval
- Training & mentorship of apprentices
Experience & attributes:
- Dual trade Cert III Heavy Duty Mechanic & Vehicle Body Builder is preferable
- HC drivers licence or willingness to obtain
- Road Transport Repair experience
- Prior experience leading and coaching a team, delegating workloads
- Mechanical workshop management experience
- Efficiency & problem-solving skills
