About the Opportunity

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our warehouse based at Prestons. Some of your main duties include:

- Unloading and loading vehicles using warehousing machinery, such as forklifts, to lift, place and move items and pallets
- Goods inwards processing, checking incoming goods against delivery paperwork, inspecting and reporting any damages
- Performing putaways into designated locations and manage stock rotation
- Picking and packing orders, which involves collecting products and preparing for dispatch with the appropriate paperwork
- Processing of depot transfers and kitting orders to specification
- Ensuring correct inventory levels are maintained,



working with Operations and Production to ensure timely replenishment
- Conducting daily inventory checks and stocktakes
- Ensure all orders are suitably packaged, wrapped and that the delivery service used is adequate to meet customer requirements
- Delivery and collection of returns as required
- Scheduling and ordering of daily transport requirements complying with safety regulations to ensure a safe work setting
- Pallet control
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Operations and Company.

About You

- Must have good interpersonal and organisation skills
- A flexible, positive, “can do attitude”
- Forklift Licence is a must
- Proven experience picking, packing, checking and dispatching of orders
- Inventory and stocktaking experience
- IT skills (to be able to use company business system)
