We are
recruiting Painting Apprentices on behalf of our members to
join their growing teams.
If you
have an eye for detail and enjoy work that delivers visible results,
this is a great opportunity to build a rewarding career in the
painting and decorating industry. Working alongside qualified and
skilled painters, you will gain valuable hands -on experience,
mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your
apprenticeship.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a
Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:
- Carrying
out measurements and basic calculations
- Reading
and interpreting plans and specifications
- Erecting
and maintaining trestle and plank systems
- Handling
painting and decorating materials
- Using
painting and decorating tools and equipment
- Removing
and replacing doors, windows, and components
- Preparing
surfaces for painting
- Applying
paint using brushes and rollers
- Applying
textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray
Requirements
ABOUT YOU
The
successful candidate will have:
- A
genuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
- A
White Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon as
possible
- Physical
fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
- A
willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- A
positive attitude, reliability,
and strong work ethic
- The
ability to follow instructions and take direction
- Trustworthiness
and motivation
Preferred (but not essential):
- A
current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Previous
painting or construction -related work experience
