Come join Koorana in this exciting part time role as an Early Childhood Educator where you will be working in collaboration with the Supported Playgroup team in running Supported Playgroups in indoor and outdoor venues across the Bankstown and Canterbury Local Government Area.
Early Childhood Educators work in collaboration to plan and provide supported playgroups with age-appropriate play activities that promote early learning, support parents and carers in their parenting role and assist families to establish supportive social connections. They also assist families to make links with a wide range of community supports, including formal prior to school settings such as day care and preschool.
The successful candidate will be working two days per week, from 8.30am - 3.00pm each day, ideally on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Candidates are required to have:
• Qualifications in Early Education
• Experience working with children and parents and carers in their parenting role
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritise, plan ahead, anticipate risks and problem solve
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office 365
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community
• To be a real team player
• Current Driver’s license
• Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screen Check
• To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful
• Prior TEI experience is highly desirable
