We are a high volume commercial production facility, located at Parkhurst on the north side of Rockhampton. We employ approximately 85 staff and provide laundry and linen hire services to major accommodation facilities, private and public hospitals, aged care facilities, hospitality venues and mining camps across regional Queensland, including as far north as Airlie Beach, south to Hervey Bay and west to Dysart, Middlemount, Glenden and a range of regional areas in between.
We are seeking to recruit several Laundry Operators to work on our production floor across a number of areas including: ironing, folding, sorting/wash floor. You will be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work unsupervised at times.
The successful candidate/s will have:
- The ability to do physical/manual labour in a relatively fast paced and repetitive environment.
- Previous experience in laundry services desirable but not essential, as all training provided.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision and as a team player.
- Have a customer service ethos with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
- Be versatile with rosters - early morning, day shift, afternoon and night rosters
- Demonstrate priority for safety at all times
- Be physically fit & able to stand for long periods of time
- Possess a strong work ethic, be reliable & efficient
Award rates are applicable to this position and some overtime is required.
